This might just be the best bakery on the island! I only wish we had discovered it sooner—I would have visited every day. I was completely surprised to learn it’s vegan. The chef is truly exceptional, creating such amazing flavors and quality. Please come out with a cookbook!!!!
The best vegan cafe ever!!! All their vegan foods and pastries are the best!!! So fresh, so yummy, with fast and friendly service. My recommendations are their Poutine and Vegan Burger. I love the cozy and cute decor at the restaurant. Excellent!!! Every time we go to Victoria from the Lower Mainland, we always come to this wonderful place. I hope someday they'll open a branch in the Lower Mainland.
1st trial of this cozy & homey cafe! My order was Jackfruit scramble & a dripped coffee. Coffee tasted good and the hot breakfast was absolutely delicious & unforgettable! When I checked with their menu afterwards I was actually taking tofu instead of the scrambled egg that’s a good vegan choice! The source with tomato, onion.... Kinds of Salsa sauce that’s very good! The portion was big so I can skip my lunch! Their services were friendly! I will definitely comeback & try something else! Love this commercial hub with Bagel Co., Cold Comfort ice cream, Patisserie Daniel that is an incredible combination of tenant mix to achieve a healthy & reciprocity commercial environment.
What a vegan gem! We absolutely loved everything we ordered. The maple berry scone was to die for! And the cesar salad was delicious. Oh and the pancakes were so so good, with great toppings. Can’t wait to go back
Fern consistently delivers 10/10 for friendliness, cleanliness, food variety, punctuality, and flavour. I have NEVER been disappointed in anything I've ordered. Within my first couple visits years ago, they remembered my name - which is so homey, and definitely adds to the experience! It's always difficult to decide what to order - so my husband and I always choose 2 separate hot meals (so we can taste both), and 2-4 pastries The portions are HUGE, and easily 2 meals - so the pastries (also huge) are always saved for later. I usually bring my stroller inside while dining in, and the seating has ample room to accommodate, so we don't have to go sit outside or in the car to enjoy a hot meal. A friend of mine is gluten free, and said she's had no problem with Fern substituting items in order to accommodate her preferences. My omnivore friends don't believe me when I tell them that yes, everything you're eating is definitely 100% vegan. Thanks so much for always being a welcoming environment, and for such delicious food! It's so lovely to go somewhere and know without a doubt you're not accidentally being served non-vegan food. Wonderful bakery - the iced mango matcha was the best drink I’ve ever had !!!!! Went back a few times for this specifically and will definitely be hoping to have it again The pastries were also fab, would recommend the croissant and the cinnamon bun.
The food was amazing I loved my breakfast sandwich and my twins loved their treats. They had the cinnamon bun and the triple chocolate cookie with Oreo on top!
So glad to find a cafe where everything is vegan! Lots of different food and snacks options but not an overwhelming amount. The buttermilk pancake tasted sweet without the syrup but it wasn’t overbearing. Staff were knowledgeable about their food’s ingredients and asked kitchen staff when in doubt. The interior had a calm atmosphere and there was outdoor seating available. Clean washroom and free parking behind it. It was my first time visiting here and I noticed some of the staff knew a customer by name which is always awesome to see!
